LOVE Part 1 (angels and airwaves) (2009)

Love is an album divided in 3 parts:
-         LOVE I
-         LOVE II
-         Love (the movie)
It’s a very interesting art project featuring a double album and a movie, and the project is about love and human connections and what we are without them.
I am not going to review the movie right now but I’ll review the first album.

LOVE PART 1

-         Et Ducit Mundum Per Luce is the opening track to the LOVE I album and the whole concept, it’s completely instrumental and it leads into the album in a nice way mixing electronic sounds with slow/easy rock sounds and epic classical-like marching music.

-       The flight of Apollo is the second track of the album that starts with a very light electronic synth arpeggio with Tom singing lyrics about (in my opinion) being left behind but not completely.
After the soft intro there’s an explosion of sound then the song actually begins, with a hint of the arpeggios back in the chorus.
After the explosion the lyrics tend more to go in the theme of friendship and how someone needs a someone else to make life not “hurt so badly”.

-         Young London is the continue to The flght of Apollo and goes into more rock and punk riffs
Many say that this song talks about war, but in my opinion this song doesn’t talk about war in general but more about going to war knowing you’ll never see your loved ones ever again and so to make ever second together beautiful.
The chorus makes me think about women with their husbands going to war and that deserve on last night with them before they go and might not come back.
-
Shove starts after the interlude between Young London and the song itself and has more of a 90s rock sound like U2 and some pop band that only makes sad slow songs.
In my opinion this song talks about friendship and/or relationships and family. The theme of the song goes around the fact that people tend to close their emotions when they’re negative emotions but also how there’s always someone that will try to help no matter what and that someone is always someone you can trust.
Another scenario the song touches s the fact that when someone s so trusted and special, you usually fall in love with the person and it’s so unexpected that you don’t know how to react … But that person is there for you.
The song ends with an interlude like the earlier 2 tracks.

-         Epic Holiday is a mixture of electronic, pop, pop-punk, 90s style soft-rock and the original style of AVA.
The song talks about – in my opinion – how our life is nothing but a cycle, a loop and everything goes around: working, earning, sleeping, making the future kids and finally going to die. That cycle takes away our humanity and our emotions and that’s wrong.

-         Hallucinations is a very cool song with fast punk chord and a very  explosive structure and an epic bridge.
In my opinion, the song talks about the death of someone love – possibly during war – and how we wished the person back with us even more when we know he/she’s gone.

-         The moon atomic is song about how there’s no dark side of the moon and everything at the end can turn out well with faith in others and help.
The structure of the song is very simple although some elements are very experimental - for example the picked strings in the chorus and the robotic voice in the interlude.

-         Clever love is a song that in my opinion sets all the song of the album love into meaning. It can talk about different things: one idea of mine is that it talks about a father talking to his son/daughter and the other is about an – apparently - almost impossible love forming and going on and on for years.
The structure of the song is very spacey and pop-ish, and t has some elements from the interlude of the moon atomic (tom’s voice sayng “you, you’re all that  want….).

-         Soul survivor (2012) is mellow at the beginning and very technological and spacey.
The song is sort of a mix between alternative rock of the time that angels and airwaves us often and some more modern musical instruments.
In my opinion it talks about the loss of an identity and how isolation makes a person “unexist”.

-        Letters to god part II is the sequel of letters to god from the band Boxcar racer (another band in wich both David Kennedy and Tom DeLonge used to be in) and it starts very easy-like with a static guitar then a  repetition of synth arpeggios during a chord progression.
In my opinion the song talks about the circle of life and how life is all around us even in simple things and how people need other people to continue life itself from the moment f birth till we die.

-         Some origins of fire is a song that  is not my favorite at all from the album but I like it anyway.
It has a unusual start, because it uses instruments that I can’t tell what they are, but when the guitars start it becomes more uniform and starts taking a certant style that ava always uses.
The themes used for the lyrics of this song are, in my opinion are the spirit f giving and friendship but at the same time having these properties applied between strangers in time of need.

Origin of symmerty (MUSE2001)

Origin of symmerty is in no doubt a true work of art, it’s everything an album should be and it’s structured very well and it’s music genres go from classical/opera inspired music to “Deftones” styled Nu metal .

-         New Born is the opening track of the album and its piano riff bring the listener into the song in a majestic way and then the guitar riff takes the song into a totally  different genre style more similar to a heavy rock song.

The track itself talks about the fear of technology ruling the world and mankind’s body not being important anymore because every human is connected to a big network.

-         Bliss is the second track and “the best song I have ever composed” says Matt Bellamy.

It talks about the state of mind of giving everything without wanting anything in return and it’s a very 80s driven song, with very progressive and cool synth arpeggios that accompany the entire song.

-         Space Dementia is a Rachmaninov piano inspired song that was made into a rock sounding masterpiece that talks about the feeling (Space dementia) of when you’re in space for too long and you lose contact with other humans for too long.

The song itself is very diverse because it’s starts as a classical song, a violent classical song, until the chorus when it bcomes more technological with the addition of synth, phasers, flangers, and a loopin synth-piano

-         Hyper Music is the song that follows Space dementia, giving the album a push more into the distortion bass/heavy singing style that muse has always had.

The lyrics are pure hate and aggressiveness and some hypothesis say it might be anti-religious.

The song has an Outro that begins the intro to “plug in Baby”

-         Plug In Baby is the most important example of what a fuzz factory can do to a guitar,r it’s the most famous muse song since its release and it’s quite psychedelic when you listen very closely .

The song has the same themes as “New Born” and  the lyrics are very confusing because they seem to talk about an actual person instead it talks about a person re-built into a body in space.

-         Citizen Erased is one of the best songs in the album and it’s played with a 7-string guitar, the riff was build around Dominic’s drum riff (that is different in compare to the regular composing process).

The song is very popular and it’s one of the most played by fans and cover-bands .

The song’s themes include the existence of life and the question of its sense and meaning, it also has references from the book “nineteen-eighty-four” where a citizen can be erased and humanity is controlled by lies.

-         Micro Cuts is one of the most nightmare-ish themed songs off the album and it’s talks about a dream made by Matt where he was in the desert and triangular blades were cutting through the back of his head, referencing the micro waves that are used (in theory) to brain wash minds by sending radiations that we don’t feel, see and can’t void, that create impulses

-         Screenager is a quiet moment of the album because it’s very easy to listen to, with very soft vocals by matt and very light drums.

Its themes are about the modern teenager being raised in a world where a screen controls the person’s mind so the person feels rejected  because of the idea of the body and fashion made by magazines and television, it also refers to “cutting yourselves” as a need of “something brutal to remind you what your body’s about”.

-         Dark Shines starts up the album again with a chaotic, latin-esque sounding song about a girl (probably very young) very desirable that is a the same time very dark and moody, but the fact of it attracts you even more.

-         Feeling Good is a cover song muse made and it’s the most popular cover they’ve ever made, it was composed in the 1920s for a musical

It’s so depressing in musical form but the lyrics are very positive and like most of the album they’re about “becoming yourself” and that’s why they decided to cover it and put it in the album.

-         Megalomania is a great album closer, there’s nothing muse has ever done that’s bigger than this song, musically speaking.

The song itself talks about God asking the human race why they’re continuing to multiply? What’s the point?.

The song was recorded with Europe’s biggest church organ and the priest of the church asked them for the lyrics before allowing them to record, but they didn’t have any yet

The 2nd law (MUSE)

The 2nd law is the 6th studio album by muse and it's the first album completly made in London, it came out the 1st of Occtober 2012 and it ment the immediate return of the band.
It's perhaps th most experimental album of all, with new instruments and sounds such as: a choir, a brass section, a 40 piece orchestra, a Misa Kitara and others...

Supremacy is the most dediverse song mabe of all the album. Chris in an interview says "it starts with  this big sleezy metal riff, but then the strings take it some place else, then obviously matt comes in with the voccals and the whol thing builds up to the end where it all finishes in silence"

Madness was a new aproche to music for muse, introducing the "Misa Kitara", a new instrument that satisfyes both guitar and synth  players.
The song itself comes from a blues style song they made, but they then decided to try mixing also electronic into the song, and everything finishes with a "Queen style solo", then a vocal climaxe where everything becomes bigger and then the song slowly takes you away and then releases you at the end.

Panic station is th first song whereyou can hear muse having fun, the song is very
danc-y  and very funky. It's also recorded with the trumpet player form the song "Superstition" by "stevie wonder".
it's everything you can find in a song: it's fun, it's danc-y, it's funky, it's sexy , it's everything

Prelude is a short song that comes before "Survival".

Survival is the biggest  song in the album maybe, it's about never giving up no matte what, cause soon it will pay off.
it has the most elements of all th album and also in this song it reaches a climaxe at the end, where everything  is lifted when matt sings "yes i'm gonna win"

Follow me is a song that talks about trying to create safety for a loved one, it is the first song by muse completly made with electronic components, also some dubstep in the chorus.

Animals is a song that talks about the "Bush family" but also about the gneral idea of "owning nature".
The song vagely reminds me of something jane's addiction might do.

Explorers is a perfect lullaby in my opinion and it's a perfect combination of classical/New age and pop rock in the minor esay listening format.

Big freeze is in my opinion the real ending to the album.
The song talks about the world melting down because of human growth.
It might remind the ear to something "U2 styled"

Save me is a song sang by chris and composed by him too, it talks about his alcholism and how only loved ones can help someone get through  it.

Liquid state is another song sang by chris about his problems with alchol, but this one is more violent and "Hysteria" musicaly related to

The 2nd law is a 2 part "synphony" where in part 1 there is a dubstep breakdown (somthing new) and part 2 is almost instrumental

ARION SDI-1 Distortion Pedal (review)

The ARION SDI-1 Distortion Pedal is great for distortion and is very cheap, it has mono or stereo distortin, soft or heavy distortion (Only in th cases of stereo distortion).
iIt can be used with any instrument and sound good, although it will have a dirty sound when it's in distortion.
it has a veryy fuzzy distortion sound infact it sonuds a lot like a sound ou can find in a Fuzz Factory effect pedal, but with a lot less librty of sound morphing,
the clan mode is exactly like the sound that you have on the normal amplifire.
the distortio "soft" has  1 amp in clean and 1 amp in full on distortion.
the heavy distortion is regular distortion.

I reccomend this pedal for any kind of music

Adam Krieger suicide letter (adam's song)

Adam KriegerTo the man and woman who chose to conceive a child, the result of which was me, when it fit in with their five year plan;

To the teachers who never really cared, no matter what they say;

To my fellow geeks, dweebs, et. al., who will no doubt receive more abuse upon my passing, as my tormentors will no longer have me to kick around;

To my fellow students who made my life a living nightmare when they should have focused on their education;

To those who never cared, never spoke, probably never knew my name;

To the one true friend, whose caring was the only thing that prevented this even from happening sooner;

To the God, if he does exist, who chose to play a cruel, cruel joke on me when he placed me where he did and surrounded me with so many uncaring faces;

To all of you, goodbye.

I am leaving a world to which I never truly belonged or fit in. Do not weep for me, or mourn my passing. I say this not because I expect to be missed, but to allow those who truly did not care go on with their lives with a clean conscience and dry eyes. I know you don't want to weep for me. So don't. But I do ask you to listen to the final words of a young man who has taken charge of his own destiny.

Perhaps my parents might feel something inside which causes them to shed tears. They may pretend that it's sorrow for their "loss", but I hope it is something else. Perhaps sorrow for bringing a child into this world when they really didn't have the time or desire to raise him. I wasn't the product of love, born of a desire to prepare another human being to grow and lead the human race. I was merely the next acquisition, the next task, the next project on their list of things that bring significance.

No child should be brought into this world for the mere purpose of being just another possession. I am not an asset to be cataloged and listed on your tax forms beside your house and car, or fought over during your divorce proceedings. I am a human being. I'm sorry that it took this to make you realize that. If you don't yet get it, then I'm even sorrier.

What about my teachers? Will they be sorry to see another student become a statistic? Certainly the administration and Principal Chowning will mourn, as my death will not reflect well on them as an institution. Well, I apologize for making the statistics for your administration worse. But I don't expect an apology for the false sympathies of people like Mrs. Dunfee, and the broken promises of others like Mr. Richman.

As for my fellows students, those who made a more significant impact on my life, I know better than to expect my tormentors to mourn.

But if I’m going to address those who belittled me, I’d be remiss if I failed to include the ladies in my life. I guess that’s not entirely accurate, as the ones I refer to fall in two basic categories: those who refused to be in my life, and those who I would rather have excluded from my life. In the former category, Melinda Tunney, Jessica Silvers, and dear Kimmy Vanover, whose laughed in my face after I asked her to the homecoming dance, humiliating me in front of I don’t know how many other classmates. In the latter category are too many to mention, though I must single out Rebecca Cull and Vanessa Dietrich for their tremendous dedication to the cause of destroying any shred of self-esteem I might dare to foster. Why can’t you accept the things that make other people different rather than insisting everyone conforms to your will?

Sure, some did offer friendly gestures. Nicole Edwards often would greet me and ask about my life. Not that I ever felt comfortable enough to tell her anything; I never trusted her enough to give her the chance. What was the purpose? Did you really give a flip about the shy, quiet kid who sat behind you in 8th grade history? Or was it all about creating an illusion that you care, just to guarantee my voting for you as a class officer.

I can only conceive of one person in this world who will truly be sad at my parting. Marty, my best friend, you talked me out of this decision three times before. You even called 911 after I swallowed a bottle of pills. That is why I did not tell you anything this time, and why I do this in secret, alone. I wish you were coming with me on this great adventure, into the final frontier. Where ever I go, yours will be the one face I carry with me. The one soul I will miss. Yours is also the only forgiveness I ask and beg for as I depart from this life. I love you, and always will.

There’s another group I have not yet addressed: those not like me who left me alone. Or I should say ignored me. I appreciate your sparing me any further harassment, but your inaction, your withheld hellos and how are yous did more to hurt than any name calling. Your inaction effectively excluded me from student life, from the human race. You left me isolated and alone, and no words I could say can convey to you the suffering you caused. I could name names, but in doing so, I would do more now for you than you ever did for me in life.

I do not know if what awaits me at the end of this gun. Will there be a void? Or will I come face to face with God? I just don't care any more. If you're anything like your people, I wouldn't want to know you. You preached to love one another, yet I've felt everything except love from Christians. Even if I could know you were different, well, I still reject you. You have left your "followers" to treat people like me poorly. You have allowed so many of the people you "love", including me, to suffer. So you want me to trust you with my life? I don’t want to spend eternity with a careless deity like you, or with the company you keep.

As my final moments tick away, I wonder what impact these words will create. It depends first on this web site being found, as I doubt whether school administration will want such venom spoken publicly about their lack of caring. Still, the Internet is a remarkable place where even the least significant individual can be heard. Will anyone listen? Will anyone take action? Will students pause and pay attention to the hurting hearts around them? And even if they do, will it be a temporary salve for their egos, to convince themselves they’re really not bad people… or will real change happen?

My heart certainly goes out to my fellow outsiders. With me gone, some of you will certainly feel more of the pain and hurt that I did. No one understands you. No one cares how your day is going. No one bothers to get to know you as anything more than a nerd, a geek, a loser. You can do nothing for their social status, save the occasional boost to the ego they get from putting you in your place. Some of you, like Andy Riker, will find outlets in writing. Some, like James Moon, will have an escape in art. Some, like Sean Gilbert, will live their lives pursuing unicorns that they will never, ever catch. I never had a talent to lose myself in, or a dream or unicorn to chase, and so I have taken the path most dreaded. Some of you may soon join me, and I look forward to welcoming a brother or sister to the land where you will never suffer the loneliness and rejection that faces you now.

Farewell forever. I am going to another place. Where, I do not know. But logic dictates that it can only be an improvement. Perhaps my passing will only prove a footnote in a school yearbook. Then again, perhaps the sacrifice of one might bring hope to others. If my death makes life for one person a little more bearable, or a little more enlightened, do I really die in vain?

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one."

Enema of the state (Blink 182)

Enema of the state is the first Blink 182 album to reach N° 1 at the billboards as a punk rock album and it is right now one of the best albums they ever produced, and the first one they recorded seiously.
it was co-produced by Jerry Finn (very famous punk ock producer that produced albums for: SUM 41, Rancid, Blink 182 ecc...).

Dumpweed is th album opener and i think it fits right cause it makes the album start with a "boom" reaction and it's also one of the hardest songs to sing for Tom.
It talks about  the desire not to break-up and how a berak-up is not easyy at all.

Don't leave me is a song that talks about herpees and how somethng as simple as that can ruin relationships. It's very energeis tic and dance-y and i's sing intierly by Mark.
The song has also a bass solo in tthe middle that is very offtenly found in blink 182 songs.

Aliens exist talks about Tom's paranoia about UFOs and paranormal things, it starts great with Travis on the drums and after the vocal intro there is a riff that sounds great and that sounds vey blink-e.
it has a guitar solo that starts with a rpetition of B notes, and in  the scond part it's harmonised by a 2 guitar.

Going away to college is a love song wrote and sang by Mark and singed in backing vocals by Tom, it has a vry catchy riff and vocal track that reminds a little of a rap singing style.
Needles to say it has nothing to do with going to college.

What's my age again? is a fun and dance-y song that talks about a break-up and how some peapole might react to it, it's singed by Mark and it has Tom for backing vocals.
In the video you can see for the irst time Mark, Tom and Travis runnin' naked.

Dysentery gary is vry fun to sing and dance to but it' maybe the least album appaling song for this album.

Adam's song is a song against suicide, and how peapole can feel pain  but at the same time, go on and wait to fel better.
Adam is the name of an actual kid who committed suicide in 1999, right after sending a letter to blink 182, sayng he was going to do it.

All the small things is the most famous blink 182  song and it's the song that mad this aalbum become  double-Platinum, it's a ballad that Tom made for his girlfriend (that now is his wife).
I only recently noticed that in the chorus there's a almost hidden guitar track that uses a whammy pedal to make the octave shift to make it more pop-y and  dance-y, you can almost not har it, but if it wasn't there the song would be less pleasing in some way to the era.

The party song is a very short song sang by Mark that talks about he usual "High-school party", it's very fast but not very dance-y.....Accept for the chorus.

Mutt iss a fun and dance-y song that talks aboutsex in the most fun and disgusting/pleasing way. ""he works to bone, yes i know, she is ready to blow, they go at it every night, his pants are super tight, oh yeahhhh"
it's fun to play and to sing but the lyrics aren't very reccomendable for a family party.

Wendy clear introduces he kyboard to blink 182 in the form of an oorgan and in my opinion iit has the best chorus in the nitir album.
The riff is very "3 piece" cause the guitar is steady and the bass changes root note, creating an atmosphere where the bass is more important than the guitar.

Anthem is part 1 of a 2 part song (Anthem part 2 was made 2 years later in 2001), and it talks  about the wolrd's power being given to peaple that abuse it (polititians, parents, work bosses ecc...) and how we should rise up and fiight all this...us kids.

Review - With the beatles (The beatles)

the album is a prtty good album in my opinion and i notised that most of the songs talk about a "long distance" relationshp i guess...

- It won't be long is a song that i think talks about a long distance relationship were the two peapole will soon see each other, it's very dance-y song, and the rithyms are very fast and being on a major scale, they sound happy

- All i've gotta do is a song that is very well put musicaly and it has a blues choir sound that can remind you of many songs from abbey road.

- All my loving is a very fast song where the lyrics are very driven to the theme of a "long distance relatioonship" lik in the 1st track "it won't be long", it is very fast and the guitar playng at the beginning might remind of  mandolin stylee of playng

- Don't bother me might remind someone of the beatles style of singing in the albums "Rubber soul" and  "Beatles for sale", and talks i think about depression after a break-up.

- Little child is the first track of the album were there's any harmonica playng and itt can take back o the very early beatles records. It also reminds me of "twist and shout".

- Till there was you starts with a spanish similar soundng guitar playng and it's a very diverse song musicaly speacking because it changes a lot during it's playng.

- Please Mr. postman is an other "ng istance"  driven songs, and has a very simple drum line that sounds very pop-ish, the chorus has a classic double voice technique used by the beatles in many songs.

- Roll over Beethoven reminds me of  "jonny B good" by chuck Berry for the intro riff and it sound like it's a Chuck Berry inspired song (like mostof th dance-y beatles songs)

- Hold me tight is another relationship driven song lyricly and also this one is a very dance-y song with claps and double voices that almost became a beatles trademark

You've Really Got a Hold on Me is sang by John Lennon and the double voices almost sound like delay and it's one of the only songs were the piano only does bass notes

- I wanna be your man i a dance-y song that introduces to the album a tamburine in all the song and strangly there are no 2 guitars.

- Devl in her heart is very good in the chrus for the trademark choir sond that the beatles bring to the table all the time, so i think it's the best chor derived song of the album.

- Not a  seconod time is a more angry song by the beatles in my opinion and it's the second song in the album where the pian s only used for bass notes even though in this song the piano sounds more blues-y

- Money reminds me of another song by the beatles, "Boys" and musicaly it's almost identical
